“Civitan Youth Seminar is not a normal week out of your life. It is a week like no other, where complete strangers grow to become the closest of friends. The atmosphere at the camp is full of life and vitality and should not be limited to merely 80 teenagers. More teenagers should get the opportunity to attend the Seminar. The activities throughout the week were incredibly fun and filled the week with so many chances to improve upon yourself in all aspects of life …

“There were so many things that I gained from the week, but I would say confidence in myself was the biggest. After that week I know that my leaderships skills will improve because I am more eager to be an influence on others and impact their lives. With this gained confidence, I will make better friendships and be able to talk to those who I would normally ignore.”

For one week during the summer, a diverse group of high school students gather on a college campus and become actively involved in a variety of exercises that will enhance their knowledge of who they are and where they fit into the complexities of an ever-changing
society.

The Youth Leadership & Diversity Conference is for high school students who will be entering the 10th, 11th or 12th grade in the fall (sorry - previous delegates are not eligible for this
year's event).

Delegate applications must be received by June 1st.

Sponsoring a delegate to the Youth Leadership & Diversity Conference is your chance to make a difference in the lives of those around you. The high school students of today will be the leaders in your community.

Invest in the future of your community today.

We are making a commitment to a better future by bringing together selected young people into an environment conducive to easy listening, the fruitful discussion of common problems, quiet reflection and enjoyable recreation, thereby creating …

“friendship through understanding”

It is through the diversity of the delegation that this conference obtains its strength. We do not look at race, creed, color, sex, or ethnic background when selecting delegates. Rather, we truly embrace the differences that each delegate brings, because it is through those differences that delegates learn about themselves and others in this ever shrinking world of ours.

There is no better place for the youth of today to experience a program designed to enrich their lives and develop their leadership capabilities than the Youth Leadership & Diversity Conference.
